Scope of practice

The firm's practice focuses on expert witness reports for building and civil engineering litigation. Accumulated court experience — over 340 ratifications in judicial proceedings — enables handling high-value cases with the procedural rigour required by the LEC.

Working principles

Technical independence — non-negotiable, no exclusivity arrangements. Contractual deadlines — if it cannot be guaranteed, the engagement is not accepted. Fixed fees — agreed before commencement, ratification included. Technical clarity — a report that cannot be understood in court lacks evidentiary value.

Expert panel

When the disputed subject exceeds the accredited competence of the forensic lead —the calculation model, the characterisation of a material, soil-structure interaction, the construction practice as actually executed— the report brings in an expert in that subject, attributed as author within the report, while the forensic lead keeps the client relationship and the procedural responsibility. That expert's standing comes from the university, from teaching combined with own practice, from site management, from an instrumental specialism, from industry already left behind, or from the lists of other professional bodies: six origins, none subsidiary to the others.
