1. The Problem: Critical Defects after Extension
The owner of a winery in Penedès contacted us after detecting anomalies in their extension work. Defects compromised functionality and structural safety.
2. Technical Diagnosis
Our inspection revealed three critical problems:
- Useless Terrace Pavement: Cracks over 1mm and surface disintegration due to lack of expansion joints.
- Contaminated Ground Floor Pavement: Concrete covered in slurry residues.
- Critical Structural Deficiency: The main metal beam (HEA320) was not correctly anchored to the pillars.
3. Solution and Conclusion
Our report demonstrated that the executed solution did not guarantee stability. Immediate correction of the anchorage system was ordered, alongside pavement reconstruction.
